Style: Mereway Futura Gloss Black, Stellar Blanco Silestone worktop
The Brief: The clients were extending their existing kitchen with the aim being to create a large kitchen/diner which would be the perfect place to entertain friends and family. The brief was a sleek, contemporary design, with the ‘wow factor’- so Mereway’s high gloss black handle-less cabinetry, with contrasting white quartz worktops and bold red glass was the perfect solution!
They key to this design was drama! The kitchen needed to be bold, and it needed to be a statement! It was important that the current house and new extension joined seamlessly and the new kitchen flowed from one area to another. The handle-less cabinetry allows the eye to be drawn down the kitchen and into the new extension and ensures that the two areas connect. The curved seating area on the island softens the very linear design and creates a great area for socialising.
I always wanted a kitchen like you see in the magazines. Now I have one that is stunning but still practical. It is the perfect place to have a dinner party with friends and family. The journey has been thoroughly enjoyable thanks to Sarah’s marvellous drawings and Paul’s technical skills. The kitchen has set the standard for the rest of the house. What can I say… it has exceeded all my expectations.
