Style: Mereway English Revival In Frame Oak and Chalk White Shaker, Silestone Negro Tebas worktop

The Brief: The clients wanted a traditional feel to their new kitchen so the Mereway English Revival was the perfect option with its classic in-frame design and features such as oak dovetail drawer-boxes. High on the wish list was a range cooker which was seen to be the heart of the home. With a young family and lots of friends the kitchen needed to be able to cater for parties and entertaining, a central island was added for extra worktop space, occasional seating and valuable extra storage.

Designers Tips

A real feature of this kitchen is the seamless silestone integrity sink. The dramatic contrast between the Negro Tebas black worktop and the bright Blanco Zeus white sink works great and really highlights the feature. The Siemens ‘A Cool’ refrigeration was essential to this design, it was important to make the appliances connect with the rest of the kitchen so they were framed with chunky oak which compliments the rest of the kitchen. To really emphasise the range cooker a traditional over mantle was built around it, the glass splash back behind the cooker adds another texture to the design and a contemporary twist.
