Style: English Rose Shaker Foil Painted Oyster, Duropal Laminate worktops
The Brief: The main goal for this project was to modernise the kitchen and integrate appliances to create a sleek and stylish new kitchen. The client’s were drawn to the shaker style cabinetry and fell in love with the oyster colour available in the English Rose colour palette.
The client’s didn’t want to have to bend down to use the ovens so the oven and microwave were both positioned in a tower unit, ensuring that they were at the perfect height for the client. Clever storage solutions have been used to maximise the storage in the kitchen, such as a magic corner mechanism and pull out larder. LED under cabinet lighting makes the space bright and airy and bounces light off of the brick effect tiles.
The quality of the design work was excellent, incorporating my own ideas and several I hadn’t thought of, to provide a kitchen which I’m very happy with. Virgil’s installation work was superb, he came up with solutions to problems due to the layout of the kitchen that hadn’t been envisaged at outset, in ways that have made it look even better than I’d imagined. Virgil is also a very tidy worker, keeping disruption and mess to a minimum. Sarah was always easy to contact and kept me in touch with what was happening regarding deliveries and scheduling, and has been very helpful in answering my queries. All in all, I’m very happy to recommend both The Kitchen People and Virgil Harding on the strength of the work they’ve done for me
